Hello again to everyone reading this (watchers, fellow dA artists, or just the random journal/profile passer-by). It's been a long break between my last "official" journal post, two months in fact, and apologise for all the inactivity between then and now.
I suppose the real question is where I've been and why I've been there and not on dA (well not as much).
Truth is, like in my previous journal two months back, my internet woes haven't entirely evaded me, and add to that last month's problems with power supply which affected a large region of my country's power grid. A problem that was partly an act of nature (typhoon) but mostly a crisis brought on by a power system unable to cope with a growing populace's supply demands.
Anyway, that problem persisted for quite a while affecting not only something as trivial as internet connections but water supply as well. It was pretty sobering to spend two weeks in such a situation and a learning experience about disaster preparedness, which truthfully isn't very high on most peoples' priority lists here where a lot of the populace can't even afford daily basic necessities. But I suppose I'm going off on another tangent here.
Basically, July was spent mostly recovering from that incident, and while power supply here has been normal, my laptop has begun to fail on me. So to answer the where I've been: technically I've been off the grid. And while I can use Twitter (which if you'll notice seems to only cross-post replay videos and or/invites on some games I play) that's all pretty much I can access without my laptop. Hence why I'm not on that much on dA. Also my notifications as of late have gotten quite unmanageable so if you're wondering where my replies went, you have my backlog to thank for that.
From now on, I'll make replying to Notes a priority so if it's something extremely urgent that you would like to tell me, then please do send it via note.
What this means now for my old schedule of posting weekly/monthly journal updates and featured artworks is that for the remainder of my premium (which goes poof by September), I'll be scheduling them once per month with set people (mostly from my watchlist) to be featured. I'll probably be separating my own personal updates from art features because of this.
As for posting art, well that is quite the question. My last submission was way back in April and was just an updated (admittedly coloured and finalised at least) version of a two-year old sketch I did.
If you're wondering though, I'm still drawing stuff, just not the kind of stuff you see in my gallery. It's mostly practice sketches on my sketchpad/journal using ink or pencil and I've not had time nor resources to pick back up on digital art for quite a while now, owing to my laptop woes. And add to that an art block that has stuck around with me for the better half of this year. If you're keen to see rough sketches like this one though:

The project I mentioned before fell through though so sadly I can't share much about that though I'm dying to show some of the work that went into it.
then my art tumblog will be where most of the art updates will be, if there are any worthy of note to share.
Still with all that, I wanted to let you all know that I'm still here, just not as active as before and I still do see the artworks of people from the community, and on occasion comment and as before. Just a whole lot slower and less often than I'd like. Besides all that life is getting busier for me as I look for new ways to be a little more financially independent.
There's still four months left for this year so I'm trying to look forward to what I can achieve by then. And I hope that those of you who have patiently continued to support me on my journey, whether it be in art or in life continue to do so. Because I sure am, as always have been, continually inspired by the amazing people of this community. I can only hope that in some small way I too have inspired someone in my struggles in both art and life.

For now, I'm back, well sorta. We'll see what the future brings. For now, the thought of it brings me hope. So, to everyone reading this, I wish your future well, may the skies ahead be clear. And, no matter how much life gets you down, always keep looking up.
