It's nice to live near places that make so many lovely wooden pieces of furniture....
This is a macro shot of a wooden bench, the backrest of it has the wood pieces "woven" in an overlap pattern. I recall the craftsman telling me they treated the wood with some heat to make it pliable enough to bend slightly while weaving though the exact details are a trade secret @_@

I love the intimate details captured so richly in your work - I look at things closely as well - makes for interesting textures and designs you don't normally catch at first glance- you can tell you have respect for your subject - that is what makes this picture work!
